Halloween Parade

I finally made it this year and it was so much fun! Every year New Bern has a little parade for kids to wear their costumes and walk through downtown. The kids really enjoyed it. I forgot my stinkin' camera so I had to use Jeeb's phone- at least I had that.

My little stinker:) (skunk)
Cagey was bumblebee- I was so disappointed with this costume, but he likes it so oh well. His face cracks me up- he always pulls this face when he gets his picture taken.
Tates the Jedi! Star Wars was all over the place- yikes.
In front of the Neuse River at the park downtown- my cute kiddos! Can't believe how blessed I am.

Natalie's Mane

My baby bug has not been sleeping worth a dang for the past several nights. We both have stopped up noses and all the crud that goes along with that. He doesn't want to sleep and he gags when I try to nurse him. So- my eyes are not wanting to work- or I'm just getting old.

Anyway, I have been thinking lately that I would really like to shave my head. I really can't stand my hair. It is thin, fine, no texture, body or curl grossness that lays flat against my head. I remember in high school fixing my hair and making it look decent then walking from my car in the parking lot to the door of the building and it being FLAT and UGLY. I don't think it has ever done anything for me. Right now it is so short and has hardly any layers in it- I have to do some major hair persuasion to get it to look half way decent. Today for church - I ran out of time and I just left for Church feeling awful about how it looked. When I got home I immediately pulled it back and clipped back my bangs. I liked it better pulled back. I usually always like my hair better pulled back- so that has led me to think that maybe I would be better off just shaving it. Well, I was looking at pics of Natalie Maines from the Dixie Chicks online - I've been told I look like her by various people in my life- Blagh- she's an idiot, but anyway- I found this picture...

SO- I ask you- should I take it as a sign that I should do it? Or just a funny coincidence? I don't think I'd have the guts to do it- mostly because of all the attention it would attract and secondly Tates would want to do it too :) but ya never know...

My morning routine

Ezra usually ends up on the living room floor in the morning- rolling around- while I make breakfast. This is what I found after scrambling some eggs.

Then EZ's costume came- 5$ on ebay baby! Anyway-I just threw it on just to get an idea of how he would look- it was hilarious!

No, Page

I'm not just realizing that the media has an agenda of pushing immorality and promiscuity. I was just commenting on how blatantly obvious it was on the Office last week. And yes, I know it just didn't start with Obama. There has been corruption in DC and in the media for many years now. Obama has surrounded himself with more open socialist/communists- Chairman Mao enthusiasts than any other president in history though. that's all I have to say.

Today is Sunday

Sunday is the one day I don't feel guilty about laying on the couch after church meetings and church activities are over. This is also my day off from my 'diet'. I let myself eat bread and pasta without wanting to kill myself :) and I eat as many chocolate chips as I want too :) Even though my Sundays start out really crazy and hard- rushing to get everybody ready so we can be to church at 9am- I love the day. A few weeks ago- there were 2 Sundays in a row that I had to force Cagey's clothes onto his limp body as he screamed "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO CHURCH!" and then when it was time to go Jeebs had to carry him kicking and screaming to the car. I just had to laugh because this is exactly what I used to do to my mom. Payback is a... well... you know :)

I still love Sundays though. Even though they are hard and exhausting- I just love them. I love going to church and getting to play the Primary songs. These are songs I grew up singing and I still feel the spirit every time I play them or sing them. I love hearing my kids and my husband sing the primary songs. It makes me want to cry when tates and Cagey sing them together. A couple of weeks ago we went to the park with the Savitz clan and Tates took her left handed glove that she never uses so she could play catch with Bart. When we left the playground she told Bart he could have the glove. She was so excited to give her best friend something. We got home and she asked me "Mommy, do you think Heavenly Father is happy I gave Bart my glove?" I said, "Yeah, He's happy when we do things for others." Tates just smiled and said "I know Heavenly Father is happy because I feel it!" Then out of the blue- she went and gave Cagey a hug. It really is worth all the heck you go through every day.

How did this happen?

I can't believe my baby Tates is 7 years old. In just one short year she'll be baptized! It really feels like my life is flying by and my children are proof of that. Taylor can walk, ride a big girl bike without training wheels, throw a mean heater, write a complete sentence, read a book, add double digit numbers, and be one sweet big sister to two crazy little brothers. She was MY BABY just 7 years ago. She was my little 6 lb tiny little thing with long piano playing fingers and a bald head that I stuck hundreds of different bows on with ky jelly. She was my little fighter that got herself better after she was so sick and the doctors didn't know if she was going to have learning disabilities or be deaf, or have brain damage. She was my buddy for 2 and a half years before Cagey came. She is my only child that knew her Aunt Yang Yang- even if it was for only a short time. Here she is today in her Spiderman shirt- eating a Star Wars cake in the batting cages. She is definitely NOT a GIRLY GIRL!! :)

They had to wear helmets with facemasks- just like in sandlot!

EZ bug was not impressed. I just hope he was warm because it was cold!
Jeebs had to get in a few hits even though the helmet was a little small lol- there's a big crack in the back that you can't see :) of the helmet I mean hahaha
Tates was so excited about her Star Wars cake- I didn't do a great job on it. The frosting was weird and I didn't know what to do- How the heck do you do a Star Wars cake? I donno- they're getting too old and asking for things beyond my capabilities which is not hard to do :) maybe next year she'll want something a little easier :)
I love my TATES!
