Empty nesters
We are now empty nesters. But not until one of the babies along with its parental unit showed me the most disgusting display of nature. The day they left the nest one of the babies had just had its lunch then turned full bum to the window. As we watched that nasty little thing pushed a little dollop of soft serve right out against the window. The momma bird didn't waste a second going in for her lunch- grabbing the deuce in her beak and flying away. Vomit!

Update: birds
In case you care here are our little birds growing. I think we may have lost one because he fell out of the nest Saturday morning. Jeebs went out and put him back in only for the dang thing to jump out again. He hopped out to the backyard and I don't think he's coming back. Oh well- it's nature folks! If you're too dumb to stay in the nest until you can fly you're probably going to die.

Holding his arm
We were so excited to take Ezra to ride Thomas in Heber. He knows almost all the names of all the Thomas trains and he watches unhealthy amounts of the shows on Netflix every day. As soon as we got there he started clinging to me or Jeebs and would not cooperate in any picture taking. The first stop we made he got a temporary tattoo and the rest of the time he spent holding his arm so his tattoo wouldn't fall off. He was terrified of the balloon animals because he was convinced they would pop at any second. He was not impressed with Sir Topham hat and he didn't want to leave his daddy's side to play any games. He did at one point play with the toy trains they had set up but that was about as lively as he got...until we boarded the train. As soon as we got seated on Thomas he was totally ready to go! He danced to the music and waved to all the people we passed. After the ride was over he was done.

I need thumbs!
Some days I'm just in awe at how weird my thumbs look. After 33 years of looking at them you'd think I'd be used to it but I guess I'm not...ewwww

A preview
Just a little taste of the fun we had celebrating our May babies. I want them to stop growing so fast, but if it means more sleep I guess I can deal with it.

I have a robot
His name is mint, but I think he needs a new name like...Jeeves, but then he'd get confused with Jeebs so we will be working on it. Anyway, this was my birthday present from my parental units. I really like it now that Im figuring out the pattern it moves in. Ezra is terrified of the thing. He wakes up asking, "where's the robot cleaner?" Now if I could only get a robot to do baseboards and clean toilets. **Update: the kids have now named the robot Percy 2. (cagey says he's like a dog that cleans up instead of making messes)

Ezra
This crazy little boy is 3!!!! He was the sweetest birthday boy. He wanted eggs with extra Canadian bacon for breakfast, he wanted a salad for lunch and then a sandwich for his birthday dinner. His real party will be combined with mookie's on Saturday, but I didn't think he should have to wait for some cake and presents. His huge present is still yet to come :) I'm so excited for it!!!

Sick
Everybody has been or is sick. Mooks takes full advantage and participates on her favorite pastime- ripping up tissues. Yes, I let her...it's one of the few breaks my arms get.

My birthday in 3 pics
3 things that I documented anyway...I wish I had documented more. Jeebs Bought me a tasty bundt cake and I almost forgot to take a picture. So I put the pretty gerbera daisy back on top and took this pic. Then I looked up and Ezra was in full reversal yak mode. I didn't get a picture of the chicken noodle soup I spilled all over my pants, but that was a good time too. I also attempted to make banana bread today, only to realize the bottom element is out. Hooray for birthdays.

A silver lining
This Ezra is always crazy and insane, but so sweet and cute I want to squish him. I'm teaching the primary song, "When I am Baptized" tomorrow and I made a rainbow headband for some lucky winner to wear. Of course since Ezra has had modeling experience he modeled the headband for me. That kid- he is growing too fast.
A vacation from my problems
The last 3 days Cagey has been in agony with his stomach. I'm pretty sure he probably has some major backed uppage...if you get my drift. Today I woke up to a very warm, feverish baby. By today, I mean 3:30 this morning today or earlier or later. She has been in and out of a fever nap all day today. This always stresses me out so much to have sick kids. I hate it.
