Christmas joy

I set a trap for our kids. They know not to come wake us up before 7 and they were very obedient. Cagey came in at 7:02.

Mookie was so excited about her new slide and has practically worn a hole in the thing going down it.
Ezra finally got Gordon. One of his pistons got a rubber band wrapped around it and bent it. He was so sad, brought it to jeebs bawling and as soon as Jeebs had a solution he dried it right up. This kid.
Wow- if we didn't have enough boxes and mess before...
Mookie loved her princess dress up clothes and hello kitty backpack. She also loved her new undies even though she has yet to potty train. I forgot she had on just underwear and jumped into the shower only to hear Jeebs yelling a few minutes later. He came in the bathroom to ask me if I knew where the wipes were and I knew what had happened. Luckily, it all stayed in her undies, but we have broken in the kid's bathtub pretty well.
Taylor built a snowman a few days before Christmas, I didn't get a picture until the face had melted a little bit. I think she did a really good job for her first snowman all by herself.
The bugs loves to crawl up beside me and ask to facetime grandma if he has ANYTHING at all he wants to tell her. I don't know what I'm doing with my hand- weirdo.

Holly jolly holiday

Friday night started with homemade chicken Alfredo pizza. All from scratch in under an hour. Jeebs even said, "delicious." He never says anything more than,"really good." I am making headway.
Mookie wanted her picture taken eating pizza.
Saturday morning workout flexing to be annoying. Yeah, 16 pounds, I'm so awesome. Ha!
It snowed all day today. I watched it as I made cookies for the kids to decorate. Finally starting to feel like Christmas.
This is the most hilarious picture in history. I have to get the original on here so you can all appreciate it. Cagey loves his uncle glen and uncle page. Glen just suffers a little longer than page.

Rolling with my Hom-EEEE

Things are starting to look somewhat normal. I love Christmas, but Dadgum it adds a whole new level of not awesome to moving.

A quick home tour...

This is just a little bit of the disaster area we call our new home...
These are our neighbors, they graze all day. So pretty!
My soaker tub...little too much of my legs, sorry.
OH my laundry room, how I love it. I have to do laundry all. day. long. so it's so nice to have so much space and the sorters!
The entryway is another favorite in my house, but I can't really capture it, so here are the stairs with Mookie.
And, after almost 12 years I have finally unpacked all my china. I didn't know I had so much. We will actually be able to start using it! I'm so excited, just hope I can last a while here in Utah.

Hooray! Today the holidays start

We are homeowners again...excite and terrified. The first time didn't work out so well. So just fair warning to anybody thinking of buying a house. Last time we did this the market crashed sooooo we just bought another house... Just saying.

Snow day and Christmas clothes

It finally snowed! It finally feels like Christmas and I can't wait to decorate our new house with Christmas junk! Heck, I just want to be in our new house!! Merry Christmas to me! Tuesday will hopefully be the big day! That's a lot of exclamation points!!!!! You're welcome, Glen! I don't think you read this anymore though.
Taylor and I spent 2 and a half hours at the mall trying to find her the perfect thing to wear. She was miserable and I was okay until I wasn't. It was a sad sad day in the Nicolaysen house when Taylor outgrew gymboree sizes. Ezra doesn't know how to look like a human boy. Mookie's hair was so cute, but you can't tell. And Cagey loves to do his ET impression or whatever that is. I love dressing my kids alike for Christmas. Black, white, gray and cream are the colors this year. I just need to get Jeebs an awesome tie and a new suit, but he is very disagreeable when it comes to going and getting a new suit. He is always ruining my plans.
Ezra, again, can't look like a human boy, but he is hilarious. He was using the flashlight tonight to tell stories to his siblings. They were a terrible audience and the more they complained the more he giggled.

Family pic and a cute boy

I haven't done anything with these pictures and I love them. Our friends whose little boy was baptized the same day as Cagey took these and emailed them to us. We were very grateful and I love how they turned out.
This one is my favorite...Cagey is loved by all his siblings.

Ezra somehow managed to sneak in his trains.

Can you tell that's his daddy?

Madness! Temple square!

We ventured out on Black Friday to see the lights on temple square. They never disappoint! It was packed with peeps, but we had fun. Ezra asked me, "is this place called Christmas light land?"

Cheers to thanksgiving!

This is how I will feel tomorrow.
(This cat was in one of the houses we looked at. I must have been tired or depressed or just in need of a good laugh because as soon as I saw him and his cat buddy (who was actually bigger) I lost it. I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard. Our realtor wanted to take a picture of us laughing at the cat. But, come on, is he not the most hilariously huge cat you've ever seen? Cats are so weird when they get fat, their heads stay the same size and the rest of them just balloons.)

Maintaining isn't going well..

This happened this morning. And yeah this is the scale that is at least 4 pounds over my other scale...
Disregard the ugly feet and long toenails. At least I'm not gaining...but I'm afraid for the fatty parts of my body if you know what I'm saying. My boozies are pretty much hanging saggy rags. TMI? sorry. 115...never in my wildest dreams.

We used to smile

My cute Jeebs before I ruined his life. Poor Jeebs.
Me, Jeebs and the raw fried turkey, sorry Daddy. We thought it would be hilarious to take a picture with it. Weirdos.

Day after day

Cagey had a Veterans Day program at school on Monday. They sang a fee songs and he knew every word. He told me it was so embarrassing he almost forgot the words. This kid hates people looking at him.

Also, video games are excellent babysitters while I'm trying to get my workout in. Don't judge me.

Sunday dress

I love dressing up and Sundays are pretty much the only day/reason I have. This is my new  skirt that I looooove. I waited and waited for a good sale and finally snatched it for $15. My momma sent me this cute sweater and these boots are my favorite. I need a different belt, but I haven't found the perfect one yet so I just made do. This is really for my mom- if she ever reads my blog.

Definition of screwed

She fell asleep on the way to get Tates and Cagey, woke up when they got in the car and didn't sleep again until...

WHoa what a slacker I've been!

I have been such a slacker about blogging lately. I was going to make a cool homemade wood project and post cool pics of it on here, but I couldn't find the wood glue and I decided Jeebs better build it so I don't mess it up and make more work for him. That was a long sentence. Anyway, we have had sick children since Halloween, which is cool because very little candy has been eaten, but also very uncool because the whining and screaming has reached horrific proportions. These are the times that try men's souls or something like that.

I have also been totally consumed with trying to find a house for us to live in. I check Utah Real Estate website about 4 (to 10) times a day. Is that too obsessive? Oh well, I'm waiting for the perfect house to pop up and all will be well in the lands. We had an offer on one house which we decided wasn't the right one so we backed out. There was another house that I loved and we were close to making an offer until Jeebs saw the agent was one of his old mission AP's who liked smoke herbs and makeout with ensign magazines. Yeah. Not. Going. Well. I have dreams at night that we're looking at houses and I hate every single one. Positive vibes, positive vibes, positive vibes...

(Update: Jeebs made me this in about 3 seconds this afternoon and I love it. It doesn't look like much, but it's going to look so good with a wreath or some other exciting decoration on it. Should I paint it or no?)
