My bobcat

Cagey is now a bobcat. I hope we make it through scouts- I'm already confused. Between beads, belt loops, patches, pins and merit badges I am lost! But, thankfully Jeebs is a scout extraordinaire...without his eagle.

How to come back from this...

I got a wild hair up my nose last night and since Mookie is terrified of the curling iron (I may or may not have burned her a little accidentally) I put her hair in Bantu knots all over her head. She woke up with a head full of curls! Cagey asked if she had on a wig and one of Taylor's friends at church thought she was having a bad hair day, but I loved it! I may or may not be suffering from curly hair envy.
Right after I took out the knots...insane.

After being styled and adding a cute headband that matches her shoes...afro-tastic.

The back view.

Another view of the cuteness.

Black vs White

No, this is not one of those deep heated racial discussions, this is just me being annoying about my weight again. I have 2 scales- insanity, I know. But, the black one is 4-5 pounds lighter than the white digital one I have. So I keep the digital one because it can't be fudged, but I think the black one is more accurate. So, I weigh with both of them on Saturdays, don't judge me. Yesterday I got up just knowing I had gained weight. My weight fluctuates between 119 and 121 on the black scale and 123 and 125 on the white scale. Last week it was 125 on the white scale and I have just felt a little chubby all week. So I was nervous to get on that stupid scale. I had also eaten white pasta with homemade spinach pesto sauce for lunch one day and I do not do pasta!! especially white pasta. But, I did it, counted the calories and went on with my day.

Anyway, I digress. I got on the dang white scale first and it said 122!! That is the lowest it's been ever on that scale. So I just knew I was going to be 118 on the black scale. No. 120. Darn. No, I am not complaining, it just bugs me when they start toying with my emotions like that. Oh well. I went and bought some new pants because I have exactly one pair of full length pants that fit and fall is coming! I had a coupon for Express and I wore Express jeans in college and loved them. I ended up buying these black skinny jeans in a size 2. Yes, I'm documenting it. I have a plethora of clothes that I can no longer wear and I have decided I'm never going back to those sizes so I am getting rid of them. If we have another baby I know I can keep myself out of the Jabba the Hut range. Now that I'm just trying to maintain I am eating more varieties of foods. I just stay around 1700 calories a day and my weight stays around the same. I can do this! And...here's the Joanna face for Red...

I have serious wrinkles. Being in my thirties is not fun.

His Thomas...

His Diesel 10...

His shoes...
and Taylor.

Sunday night photo shoot

Taylor has an assignment in her Arabic class due tomorrow- so naturally we did it tonight. She had to take pictures of everybody and explain their jobs in Arabic. She didn't take a picture of Ezra or mookie because all they do is sit around the house according to Taylor.

Stewart falls hike

We got up way too early for a holiday sleep in day, but we really really wanted to hike Timpanogos  cave. We got to the mouth of the canyon around 8 and they told us only 5 tickets were left for 3. We needed 6 so we were out of luck. Soooo we headed over the canyon and through the woods and ended up on the other side to do Stewart Falls. And, look, Jeebs took my picture, in the exact spot we too some of Red and Huck's engagement pictures.

We started hiking around 8:45...it was nice, but did I mention it was early?

Ezra licking his much needed snack at the falls. We told him he could get a snow cone if he just wouldn't complain on the hike. I told him to say "snow cone" instead of complaints. So most of the way he was saying, "snow cone" and "I wish the end was right there," as he pointed to the rock beside him.

I can't believe there aren't any other people in this shot. We loved this hike because it was easy and the views were incredible, but there were so. many. people.

Taylor looks like a model in this shot. And the bottom pic is Jeebs trying to have one of his pictures make it on the news of someone falling. People were being really scary. BYU students are annoying.

Sunday evening

Sunday evenings are the best, especially when the next day is a holiday!
