Eyes will roll

The mooks is working in her eye roll a little early. As long as I don't see this face when she's a teenager. Right now, hilarious, in 10 years, face slap.

Super glasses

They wanted glasses and I was engrossed in my new book. This is what we ended up with.
Mookie also got new swimsuits and I had to share. They were on sale for 12.99 at the Gymboree outlet. So I had to get two, I had gymbucks so I got two suits for 12.99. What?!? Yeah.

I have a neck?

I did it. I chopped my hair off and I like it. I would tweak a few things about it, but for the most part I don't miss my longer hair at all. I snapped a pic of it after fixing it myself for the first time and I couldn't believe that I actually have a neck now! If only I could've had this back in the days of byu ballet classes. Wow, wearing a black leotard with pink tights and staring at yourself in a mirror day in and day out does something to one's psychy.

Route to river and a Fail

This is exactly how long it takes to get to the Jordan river from our backyard. Actually, subtract about 30 seconds to account for me falling off the scooter because I was trying to ride one handed.

This was the hi point if Easter...

Cute kids in cute clothes...everything else? Blah.

Actually the ham and rolls were pretty good too.

Motivation Monday...on a Friday

I found this little gem on the tablet yesterday. This was 2 summers ago at Cecret Lake. I loved that hike.
This was taken in December the day we moved into our house. I had on leggings. Leggings! I just had to share- almost 60 pounds gone and it is grand. I am so tired today and I just want to take it easy, I wanted to quit my workout this morning and I want to shove cookie dough in my face. I just needed a little motivation before the weekend because the weekends are food-tastic! and it's Easter- dadgum cadbury mini eggs!! Don't worry, I'll have a little rendezvous with them on Sunday. Til' then, stay hungry my friends.

How you fish and not catch

My dad always says it's called fishing not catching, but it's always more fun when yi catch something. We were using power bait, but I knew we probably needed worms. Tearing worms apart and shoving a hook through them is beyond my capabilities right now. I may get there some day, but for now reaching into the bum smelling power bait is a big enough feat for me. We didn't catch anything, but the kids had fun casting and reeling in. Practice makes perfect.

Sunday swag

Have I mentioned we have church at 1:30? Well I'm trying to find something positive to write so...we all looked cute today. Mooks was sick or she would've looked cute too.

I made junk outta junk

I got a wild hair up my nose and decided to make one of the drawers from the old dresser into a jewelry wall organizer. I am excited with how it turned out and Jeebs hung it for me. I am going to add more hooks, but I think it looks okay just using leftover materials from all my projects.
From this...
To this!!!

Spring break up

While the kids are on spring break we've had bad news at Jeebs job so it's very near time for a break up with them. We will see.

Instead of stuffing ourselves with ice cream- which would be delicious and wonderful if we had some blue bell coffee ice cream (don't judge)- we went hunting for fossils! It was really fun and oh so cool.

And just because mookie was so cute in her shorts and red cowboy boots...

We were watching conference...

Mookie was playing with my phone. Whatever keeps her quiet is what we do. The kids were really good for the first session, but for the second session I had to keep telling myself, "we can do hard things!"
Then of course Jeebs had to smoke some meat sooooo. Brisket is delicious!

New maxi dress new motivation

So after gaining 2 lbs last week I knew I had to kick it into gear this week. Nothing motivates me like new clothes. Especially form fitting, knit, no structure, no hiding maxi dresses. I love this dress and I have a renewed sense of determination to keep the lumps away.

Starting school on his own

Ezra asks me really good questions everyday. He can make almost all of his letters and numbers with his fingers. I asked him how old you are when you're baptized and he showed me to circles with his fingers stacked on top of each other.

He kept asking about upper case and "letter" case letters yesterday so I decided to print him out some worksheets and let him practice a little letter writing. When he got to the letter B he asked me if he started on the line or the part that looks like a bum. He is obsessed.
