things I've just realized I really don't like doing...

1. wrapping the vacuum cleaner cord around on the hooks. it's monotonous and just annoying.

2. cleaning the lint trap in my dryer. I usually have some kind of water on my hands and the lint sticks to my hands and it's just yuck. Then I have to walk all the way over to the trashcan and walk back to finish my laundry. I know.

3. Throwing the used dryer sheets away- I know this is weird, but when I do laundry I'm usually trying to get it done as fast as I can and again this just interrupts my laundry flow :) I used to stuff them in the couch cushions hehehehe it got rid of the sheet (until I decided to vacuum out my cushions) AND it made our nasty old couch smell better -- see win, win, win

4. Mopping- i just don't like cleaning hard floors in general.

5. Getting ready for bed. I'd rather just keep staying up some nights rather than go through my nightly routine. Take vitamins, wash my face and moisturize, brush and floss teeth, put all the stuff that is piled on my bed away so I can get in it- oh this leads me to #6

6. Putting sheets on my bed. I hate bending over a bed -it wears my back out and if one side of the bed is against a wall it is so dang hard and frustrating to get the sheets over there and make them look good.

what do you really dislike doing on a daily basis? i really don't like making pancakes either. my kids like them so i do it- but I don't like the way they smell, i don't like standing at the griddle while everybody is eating and then when you're done everybody else is done eating and I sit down with my eggs to an empty table until Cagey comes up and wants to eat my eggs too. argh. ok I'm done :)

Growing it out

After a series of unfortunate events I ended up with about 3 inches less hair than I EVER anticipated. It's a long story. I don't like short hair on me- especially when I'm carrying 20 extra baby fat pounds. Needless to say there were a few tears today. I realize this picture doesn't make it look as ugly as it really is, but this is the only picture I'm brave enough to post.

I need a DP

Sure it makes me fat, gives me cavities, causes me to have migraines after a couple of days without it, and makes my heart flop around every once in a while- but hey it's for my kids :) Actually I'm doing ok- I've been up since about 5:30 with my baby flopping around- he finally fell asleep around 6 ish when the dog decided it was time to go out. I put him in the garage where he promptly shat and peed all over the place. Jeebs left around 7:15 for Raleigh and Tates got up shortly thereafter. I am trying to force myself out of bed every morning at 7:30 and get Tates started at 8. I finally forced my aching body out of bed around 7:55- don't judge, I made it up before 8 :) We got breakfast and scripture reading started at 8:15. So- only 15 minutes late-- not too bad. I've got a headache and if I sit still for too long I want to go to sleep- sooooo my mantra for the year is "just keep going, just keep going". I weeded my flower beds yesterday for about an hour and a half and oh- I feel it. At least EZ did take a nap and Cagey was content with watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse for 3 hours. yikes.

1st day of school

I don't know if we're going to make it. We've already had a fit thrown. I've already heard "I hate school!" seventeen times. I'm trying to make it more fun this year, but I have to make sure she's ready for her test at thee end of the year. I still have to clean my house, nurse the baby and keep him content, keep Cagey and the dog from being too distracting, get my baby weight off cuz it's about to drive me to drinking, make meals and figure out how to not lose my mind everyday. Taylor had her beginning of the school year father's blessing this morning and I think I need one too :)

AFter I posted that post yesterday- the bug fell back to sleep on his own and Taylor got up off the couch and started feeling better. I've got to stop thinking about the bad and concentrate on the positive right? never been one of my strong points- to say the least :)

Holy Hannah

Tates is sick on our very last true day of freedom. She has been laying around since Saturday night and this morning she threw up. HOoray- all over the couch. Jeebs just told me he paid all of my hospital bills with our credit card and then he was just going to pay it off- well... 3 days after he did they applied the interest to the balance- AND since he was late 1 day on the payment last month our interest rate jumped sky high. Hooray! and I just put Ezra down for a nap and his head is already popping up. If it weren't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all. AND I have laundry coming out of my eyeballs. I just put the vomi- toe load in and now i have a good 5 or 6 more loads to do today. I did a marathon laundry day at the beginning of last week and washed several random loads and towel loads all through the week. How the heck does it accrue so fast??!!?? I'm so sick of laundry. I hate vomit. I hate hospital bills- maybe Obama will save me... HA! right over a cliff

Primary Act-tivi-TY

I forgot to post these cute pics of our Primary activity last week. It was so stinkin' hot, but the kids had a blast- what a cute and fun activity.THe slip n slide was the star of the show.

Amazing

Jeebs mowed the lawn!! THis is only the second time this summer. hehehehehee and I have just realized I really don't like the fabric on my couch and loveseat. When I get a lot of money some day I'm having them recovered. gag. I made the best freaking cookies. They are my standard ultimate choco chip, but I used semi-sweet chips instead and I baked them to the perfect doneness and oh my goodness. I'm going to give them away before Jeebs can get one :)

3 months old

Both of these pictures are of him when he should be napping. I had just gotten him to sleep, put him in his basket and he lifts that little head up and peers over. It would make me really upset if he weren't so cute doing it.

Hi bum!

Yesterday at Wal-mart I was struggling to get my groceries checked out and keep my verrah heavy baby happy on my hip when I saw the checker behind me from behind. I had to do a double take- I had never seen a bum so high before in my life. It was a true hopper bum- I can't remember who coined that phrase, but I was thinking - "that is a hopper bum if I've ever seen one!" Anyway- I know I sound like a freak, but I was thinking "is that her real bum doing that or is it her jeans? If it's her jeans, where can I get a pair? Not that it would really matter because the only person looking at my bum knows it's true form. As soon as I took the magical jeans off it would fall back down to it's sad and lowly state behind my knees and great would be the fall thereof. So, alas- until my bum can actually stand on it's own- I will steer clear of the high bum jeans.

I think I have

a brain disease. I spelled stomach with an E. Thanks glen for pointing that out. It adds to my charm right? heheehe and I'm homeschooling my child. She's in trouble. I also saw a construction sign and thought it read "Take us 70 west" instead of U.S. 70 west. I was thinking "yes, take us west outta here!!" hehehe. I'm an idiot.

Biggie Smalls and the Ragin' Cajun

My mom took these while we were in Texas- I love the sweet smile and then the "get that camera outta my face!"

My stomach

...gets worse after every baby. It drives me crazy until I can get back down to my pre-prego weight- and even after that-which usually takes FO- evah! It does this thing when I put my pants down at my hips and I sit down all my chub bubbles out over every inch of my pants and then when I pull them up to my natural waist my belly blubbers out majorly over the top. Yeah- it's disgusting-ANd- it drives me CRAZY. Okay- so with that off of my mind- we went bowling today. Jeebs was supposed to be off today because he's been working about 70 hrs plus a week. The kids were so excited and they really wanted to go with him to the beach. Well, it RAINED and rained and rained. SO, we ended up going to Greenville because I needed to return some stuff to gymboree and they just have more to do. We went bowling and the kids had a blast- for some reason Cagey loves to bowl. WE had lunch at Olive Garden- shocker. Then did a run through Sam's Club. Real exciting day :) I always want to do really fun stuff that doesn't cost a lot of money when Jeebs is off, but we usually end up spending lots of money and doing stuff that isn't that fun :) oh well, I have to think about the night we went up American Fork canyon for FHE and thought it would be so fun and not cost anything- tates got car sick on the way home and puked in the car.

Okay- since I haven't started Ez's baby book- I'm going to write down some of the thing he's done so far on here.

8 days- rolled from tummy to back
2 months- 14 lbs 9 oz
2 months 3 weeks- slept 8 hours straight- woohoo- hasn't done it since :(
3 months- laughed (it was just for me, and so dang cute)

He has the biggest double chin ever and he loves to smile.

Donno what to entitle this

I made the cutest hair thing-a-ma-bob. I started by making big flower hair clips. Then I saw this cute ruffly belt on one of the websites I frequent and I immediately wanted to try it. It was pretty- and easy and I had all I needed to do it. I wanted to do a belt, but I don't really have a belt figure and nothing to wear with a ruffly belt even if I did. So- I made it into a headband for Tates- and then it turned into just a ruffly hair ponytail thing- anyway- it's still really cute and I was excited about it. I actually made something that looks as cute as the thing I'm copying. Yay for me :)It would probably make a cute brooche or wrist corsage too - oh the possibilities. I can't wait to get more fabric scraps and ribbon. I also want to try making flower pins like the ones they sell at anthropologie. Cute stuff man.

a question

I'm doing an experiment with my armpits. For those of you who know me really well know this is totally normal. I won't go into the other interesting experiments I've done here. Anyway- since the beginning of my armpit hair time- I've shaved my armpits every day- I can't stand any kind of hair whatsoever under there. While I was pregnant this last time I noticed my pits were really dark. I showed Jeebs and he agreed they were pretty dark. I don't know if they have always been dark and I just noticed it because it was just another layer of grossness on my many layers of grossness or if it was just a pregnancy induced thing. Soooo- while I was in Texas I didn't bring a razor with me because my parental units have razors and I am known for my light packing :) hehehe my mom and dad are shaking their heads now. Anyway- I didn't shave them for the whole week I was down there because I was too lazy and too much in a hurry usually to go and get a razor before I got into the shower. So- they got pretty long and I got to where I thought it was cool to see how long they would get before I got home to shave them. I get home and shave my armpits and then Jeeb noticed the skin looked a bit lighter under my arms. Then he begins to explain to me that if he shaves his face every day his neck gets really dark and his facial hair grows a heck of a lot faster. Well, the day after I shaved them after a week of not shaving I found that there was hardly any hair at all when I went to shave them again. So, I've started shaving them every other day or every 2 or 3 days- depending on how long I can stand it. So- my question is- How often do you shave your armpits? I"m just curious. Go on be brave- leave a comment and let me know. I love knowing these things about people- I used to break the ice by asking guys what kind of toothpaste and/or deodorant they used. That's actually really good to know- and if they can't tell you what kind they use- you should probably steer clear. Colgate/ secret solid.

A week of Texas

We just got back from Texas yesterday. We had some delish BBQ- not pig and some tasty mexican food at Papacita's. Yum- oh and the tastiest smoothie ever at Jack's Natural foods. Yes they beat Zuka juice, Hogi Yogi and Jamba juice. They are so good, my mom actually brought me one on ice to Utah when I was pregnant with Tates :) The kids had a blast swimming in my Uncle's pool and climbing the ladder at grandma and grandpa's to pick the peaches. I have pictures of the peach picking, but they're still in the camera. Tates did not want to come home- she says she doesn't want to go back to Texas because she always cries when she has to go back to North Carolina. It really does stink being so far from family sometimes. Maybe I'll have pictures soon :)
