Socks
I hate them. I realize they're a necessary evil so your feet don't smell like phys Ed and feta cheese, but they make me crazy.
1. Find and gather all dirty socks (under beds, in toilet, by the fish tank etc)
2. Wash nasty socks and pray none get lost in the process
3. Find matches in a pile o ridiculousness because you know they are not all in there
4. Treasure hunt in drawers for 2 wonderful matching socks
5. Cram them on the feet of a wiggly, resisting unhelpful kid/baby/adult
They are too much work- I prefer sandals in the summer and boots in the winter which voids at least step number 4 to insanity.

Hysterical
Taylor got hysterical over her dinner. Apparently the idea of mookie rolling a hot tamale around in her mouth was funny. Or she should sleep later than 7 in the morning.
As a side note, Ezra saw an Olive Garden commercial tonight and said, " I throw up there." yes, yes he did and I still have the puke spot on my boot to prove it.

Mooks
Happy, freshly diapered babies are the best. I can't imagine life without the Meny mooks. Cagey always has to kiss her goodnight and Taylor wants to love on her all day long. If I could just get Ezra to accept her as a person and not a toy to be rolled over or stepped on.

Bedtime
Bedtime process starts at 7 and if we're lucky ends at 10. Ezra has issues staying in his bed quietly. Tonight as both taylor and cagey yelled that Ezra was making noise he emerged from the bedroom with Cagey's science project in tow and nonchalantly sat down on the living room floor. I was struggling with mooks to get her to sleep and frustrated asked him what he was doing and why he wasn't in bed. Without missing a beat and somewhat put out with my question he replied, "I'm making noise."
This is what I make my 2 yr old do
He doesn't want to color or play with his toys alone while we do school so he has to help me with laundry. This kid is a bull and has little problem muscling my full laundry basket through the gauntlet to the laundry room. Impressive most impressive.
