My alma mater

We found ourselves on BYU campus this week. I can't believe it's been 8 years since I graduated. I'm old. It's even weirder to have my 4 children and my nephews eating in the cougar eat with us. All I kept thinking about was how all the girls at BYU say "cAHmpas" and how I was back on "cAhmpus".

Well, I have to say that this picture made me cry big time. I have so many wonderful memories of "cahmpus", although I don't remember ever hearing anyone say it that way. I don't know if my Grandma Gibson ever went to BYU (doubtful), but your grandma went for at least a semester before having to go to work to support her divorced mom and her three young siblings. BYU attendance skipped me as I married your dad! Maybe that was the reason I was so determined for my kids to attend the Y. I don't know. However, you attended, AND graduated. I'm so thankful I got to attend various religion classes with you, Glen, AND Yang! I wouldn't take a million dollars for those memories. Now it remains to be seen if your kids will be 4th generation BYU fanatics! I miss those days when I could get around somewhat better. C'est la vie!! It vacuums.

And, of course, I did NOT have the grades to attend the Y. I was in the top 20% of a very small graduating class, which is very different than being number 5 in a very large class like you were. Yang and Glen were way up there as well, weren't they? Was gee number 4 in her class or was that Glen? Don't 'member.
