I love Halloween! I started the day with getting my workout out of the way so I could concentrate on our Halloween festivities. I started soaking some dried beans for the chili I wanted to make. I made bread bowls from scratch to serve the chili in and I made caramel from scratch for caramel apples. This was Ezra's plate after dinner. He must be getting sick because he didn't eat a bite. I had to take a picture before I threw it away because my bread bowls turned out awesome and delicious. The kids also said the best part of the chili was the beans- I almost died.
Percy, the longsuffering, in his devil horns.
Jeebs had the brilliant idea to haul the kids around in the trailer so trick or treating would go faster this year than last year. No, they were gone for over 2 hours.
I was a ghost, again, which is lame, but I scared the beegeezes out of a group of little girls. Their dads were impressed and took my picture with them.

Hey Tates, You're getting old
Taylor is 11 and getting too grown up. She tells me almost once a day that I'm inappropriate. And let's face it, I usually am. Happy birthday to my biggest helper and my oldest stanky child!

Target trips and sweater dresses
My kids are on their fall break and that means they mostly want to sit like lumps around the house. I, being the great mother that I am, forced them all to come on my Target trip with me. I tried to entice them with a trip to the Halloween store to look for costumes, but that didn't work. Anyway, after a few tears and some sulking we had our target trip. Ezra tried on a hot dog costume and I bought a sweater dress! I bought it and brought it home just to see if it might do. There was a time in my life not too long ago when I had sworn off sweater dresses for good. I slipped it on and immediately saw it was going to be to short, but other than that I just had a moment of triumph because I can Do a sweater dress! Happy dance. Now I'm going to take it back.
Mookie is a Rush baby
Every morning she wakes up before we are out of bed she grabs the tablet or daddy's phone and asks to watch Rush.

Best Weekend EVAH!
I used to think the only good that came out of General Conference weekend was the food. I am now much older (and much less blubbered) and General Conference is the best weekends of the year. I listen to the talks and always get so much out of them. I also feel like the worst person in the world, but that's okay, it just makes me want to try harder and be better. Hopefully I'll actually get there some day. Taylor got to go to Conference downtown for the first time. She was so excited to see the Prophet. I don't blame her, it's always an exciting experience. She and Uncle Tom made it for the Sunday afternoon session. Taylor said it didn't seem as long when you're in the conference center watching it live. I guess time flies when you're feeling the spirit?

I ended up with a man who likes golf...
I always thought golf was weird and for men with too much time on their hands and now I am married to a man who likes golf and a son who asks regularly to take golf lessons. Life is funny like that I guess.
