Taylor got to dress up as a cowgirl today for school. They were having cowboy poetry. She was soooo not excited to get her picture taken- especially since we had stopped "right in front if the 6th graders!" I love being a parent sometimes...cue evil laughter now.

Squeal squeal and double squeal

If you know me- you know I don't squeal, but I did go to BYU and the girls there squeal a lot. But if I did squeal a squeal would be in order. I have made it to the 140's!!! I lost another 3 pounds this week and all of my pants have sag bum. Other things are shrinking as well, clear my throat, Jeebs expressed his concern. I assured him that the Gibson curse was alive and well in this body and they would never be extinct so not to worry. So I have lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks and I am blown away. Naturally I needed a new pair of pants to celebrate with. We had planned to go to the outlet malls in Lehi, but it snowed all morning and I decided it wasn't worth it going that far. So, we headed to the ghetto mall in Sandy and I at least satisfied my urge to try on clothes- ya know just to make sure I was indeed shrinking and the scale wasn't playing some horrible joke on me (as I feel it has loved to do in years gone by). Anyway, I tried on all 8's and they all fit, some were even almost too big. Really? Every time I tried on a pair I would check the size to make sure I didn't pick up something bigger because I was sure they couldn't be eights. Yeah, I know it's an 8 and not a 2, but I am ecstatic. Thirteen pounds more to go!!

Cagey skiing

We went to Brighton and the kids got actual lessons. Cooper and Taylor snowboarded, but cagey was determined to ski. So, by himself he went! He did awesome and made it down the whole slope without falling. Tates loved snowboarding and I am determined to go someday! There would be more pictures but wrangling 2 children in the snow and dodging all the skiers walking around like they had the clap makes picture taking a little difficult.

It's all for fashion

Mooks was walking in boots and high heels this morning. She is so going into dance when she's older. Please disregard the messy bedroom. Since today was my day of resting from working out I wanted to do something outside of the house without spending money. Soooo I headed for Old Navy to try on clothes- just to see where I was at. Ya know, with sizes and all because now I can pretty much fit into most of the clothes I have. Most of them just fit a lot better, which is annoying because I feel like there should be a greater change. Anyway, I grabbed a couple of 8's and a 10 in skinny jeans to try and several medium sized tops. The 8 super skinnies- D-sgusting!!! The 8 skinnies- not bad and a little big even. They also have the cutest sweaters right now. I wanted one so badly, but it was not on sale and paying full price for Old Navy is just ridiculous because it'll be marked down in 2 weeks. So I came out with a $5 long sleeve black thermal top. On the way home I started thinking about all the derogatory comments that have been made to me even when I thought I looked good. And I started thinking is this worth it? Am I ever going to just look good, period. I usually have these thoughts between meals when I'm hungry and I just want to eat a. lot. But, After I eat my 350 calorie lunch and drink a little water coke...I'm good. I will never be "mean girl" hot, but I just want to be comfortable in my own skin and that's why I will carry on.

Tired of this yet?

Tired of hearing about weight loss? Too bad, it's my blog. The verdict this morning? Two more pounds- word. That's eight sticks of butter. I'm hoping that next week I'll be in the 140's, yes the 140's! At least on one scale, which I believe to be more accurate :) Then, maybe, just maybe, I'll buy a new pair of jeans. I've lost 17 pounds so far and my goal is to lose 16 more pounds, I'm over half way there. The closer I get the more anxious I get about hitting a plateau and just getting stuck somewhere I don't want to be. If I can actually get down to 135 then I'll kiss Jillian's lesbian feet! I just have to keep working because bathing suit season is 3 months away and I've got to get into that bikini! And if you believe that then I've got some beach front property in Arizona to sell you- or whatever that saying is.

Today is cardio day. Bring it on Jillian. I think it may be warm enough to run. Do I want to run? I don't know. I haven't been running since Christmas break and it was 14 degrees outside. Today it's supposed to get up to 42 degrees. It's shorts weather!

Valentine underwear

My kids have too much junk they don't play with sooooo this year for valentines day I got them something they would have to use and still a little exciting. Valentine underwear!!!! Well the non- underwear wearing mookie got a plate and some bows and she did not see her bows as anything special. She let them fall out of her hair like any other regular day bow.

Jeebs and I went to Scheels to buy our Valentine presents. We came home with a box of bullets. Nothing says, "I love you!" like more bullets to say, "I will take you out!" with. Yeah.

Cagey was the first up so he was a little groggy checking out his loot.

I bought my own flowers this year because Jeebs has never done better with a bouquet of flowers than he did on our first date.

I made lemon poppy seed scones, and failed at making them heart shaped. Also- hot pink hot chocolate. (I had none, lame)

Snow and cold in February!

We have missed the snow and the cold. It's February and its still cold! Living in the heat and humidity will make you appreciate actual winters. Maybe next month I'll complain, but for now happy cold valentines day!!!

20 sticks of butter!!

In fat people language that means...5 pounds!!!! Five pounds in one week and I'm back to my pre-prego weight. Okay one scale says 5 pounds the other says 3-4 pounds. And, yes, I realize it's insanity to weigh on 2 scales. Here's my rationalization... my old scale is pretty accurate, i think, number wise, but my new digital one is easier to read and cant be fudged at all. Soooo- yes I'm psycho and have them both. Anyway, that's not where I wanted to be either, i'm going to keep on keepin' on. I am not gonna lie- the last two days I have been pretty hungry. Sooo tomorrow may have a serious worry free meal. I donno I always get anxious when I think about deviating when it's finally working!

These pants need to go. After looking at them close up from behind. Yeah- elephant sag bum. Im not ready to buy new pants though so it'll just have to wait.

This boy needs activities!!!

Poor Ezra needs so much more action than I can possibly give him. My days are pretty set and scheduled. So Ezra gets pretty crazy sometimes. He wants lunch at 9 a snack at 10 and then continues to ask for food all. Day. Long. He can drive me up a wall, but he is so dang cute while he does it.

Am I being punked?

Where's Ashton? Yeah, no weight loss this week and I'm highly disappointed. Yes, I followed my diet and counted every calorie- Yes, I did my workouts and even squeezed in an extra. But, they have plateaus in biggest loser right? Right. So- I'm not going to get too down yet. Inches are still slowly lowering so I'll count that for now.
