Mookie killed my iphone

Mookie has slammed and dropped and smashed my phone one too many times. On Sunday it gave up the ghost. I would be posting the cutest pictures of my chillens from Sunday, but those are all on my phone. Actually Jeebs has put them somewhere on this computer, but I have no idea where. So, I'm getting a new phone for Christmas. hooray.

Also, it snowed today. Big time, white out, dumping, sticking on the roads SNOW!!! Our first white Christmas since 2004! Snow makes Christmas so much more magical. We went around our neighborhood making Christmas deliveries in the snow and couldn't even make it up some of the driveways. That's how Christmas eve should be. I love it!

And also, I wore a skirt with a broken zipper to church on Sunday. Is there a theme here? I prayed the whole time that the zipper wouldn't pop open. I told Taylor to keep a look out for my zipper for me and to say, Momma GO! as the code for me to RUN to the bathroom and XYZ. Luckily, all stayed put. I think I need to buy new skirts.

I spent all day baking cookies and making reindeer food to pass out to everybody. I was so sick after tasting a bit of cookie dough here and a bit of cookie dough there! BLAGH! Stomach ache and now a headache, Merry Christmas to me. Sooo, Merry Christmas to all 3 of you guys that still read my blog!

Sunday's accessories

It's finally scarf weather!!!! And I wore my favorite cowl scarf that my momma made for me. And of course, my always present accessory- the mooks. This is also one of my favorite skirts, that won't button up all the way...argh.

Thoughts on my drive home

I am so so so so very tired of the drive to and from my kids' school in Lehi. Taylor is really enjoying it and I think Cagey has some really good kids he goes to school with. He brought home his secret santa list for another kid with all his favorites and this kids favorite song is "I Love to See the Temple"- really? So awesome and so weird all in one. There were exactly 2 other LDS kids in my class and/or whole school the whole time I was in school. Anyway- the traffic was not too bad today so I started to tune out and think about random randomness as I drove:

1.  First and foremost, who is honking like a freak? One little beep should be sufficient, right? Lay off the horn!

2. Am I the only one that jumps and jerks in my seat when there's a rock flying towards my windshield? What a dork.

3. The cop on the side of the freeway has his hazards on. Should I stop to help him out? Or does he just have those on so everybody can see him? I feel bad if he's stranded, but I guess he has a radio and all kinds of contact with other cops if he really needed help. Soooo I guess I'll move on.

4. AND, I need to start Christmas shopping soon, I guess.

Yeah, I need to go do...things. Like, go change this bedhead's diaper and make sure Ezra isn't going to have his face in a bowl all day like he did yesterday and...Christmas shop!

Staying awake

I'm sitting at my kids' school waiting for them to come out. It's 2:52 and it is so hard to stay awake every time I do this. Many times I fall asleep in the line- full on mouth open, drooling and snoring. Okay no drooling or snoring but falling asleep with your mouth hanging open in public is bad enough. I wish I could sleep like Ezra. That kid fell asleep standing up next to his bed. He had gotten up many times after he had been put to bed- I don't know if this was after getting up or about to come out in the living room. Either way- good grief.

The thing about running

I have actually learned to like running. I have never really been a runner. Before this past summer I think I had done exactly three, 3 mile runs. I would look at people in their running gear and gag. I'd see people running and wish for them to sit on the couch and eat some chips. Now, I see people running and wish to run like that. I can run at least three and a half miles without stopping and without feeling like I'm going to die. I look outside and wish to be out there on the road pounding the pavement. But, the only real time I have to go running is 6 in the morning before my kids have to get up for school. It's dark and you know what's out at 6 in the morning? Animals. Animals looking for breakfast. This white girl does not want to be breakfast. The Jordan River trail just behind the house is great for running. It's the first place I ran my first 5k...by myself of course. It's a nice trail. Until, our neighbor that runs on there all the time told me he saw a cougar pulling his freshly killed deer off the trail. I will no longer be on there by myself. The park is where I did most of my running this summer. But, it was daylight when I ran. I don't mind going early, but I guess I'm scared of the dark. So, I guess I'll hang up my running shoes until Summer.

Taylor cleaned and I almost passed out

Taylor cleaned up her room, perfectly, without being asked. I sucked in so long I almost fainted. Her daddy asked her why she did it and she said she was happy. Hot dawg! Pray for happiness in this kid all year long!

When Jeebs is in charge

We were supposed to be bowling last night, but Jeebs was supposed to make sure it wasn't league night. It was league night. Soooo we headed over to Mickey D's for a delicious ice cream refreshment and playing in the indoor playground. Shantae couldn't contain herself... And I guess she had to save Hannah too. I think she really just wanted to play.

Still Recovering

I guess I'm in a funk. I'm still getting over the depression and anxiety after election day. But, today is a new day and I have challenged Jeebs to a weight loss competition. I was trying to appeal to his unselfish nature and say the prize for the winner would be letting the winner get the other a Christmas present and the loser couldn't get the winner anything. He immediately wanted all the rest of the flour tortillas. Soooo, we still haven't come up with the terms, but we're gonna do the dang thing! I have been trying and trying and trying for a year and I weigh 4 pounds less than I did a week after MOoks was born. AGghh.

The good news?? It's Thanksgiving this week so it should be a great weight loss week...right? Right. Also today was Mookie's first day in nursery, which is actually pretty sad. She did okay and was the smallest, youngest kid by far.

This is how we roll

Mooks rolls in her popcorn or runs around naked. And I have a mini recording session in the bedroom. We are still so depressed about what's coming after this election... O is passing 68 new regulations a day. Syria is fighting Israel and there have been massive lay offs in several companies around the country. And O has already started his push for a gun ban. That's only the first week of a second term of O. Hold on to your... you know what's. AAAAAND not to mention the fact that he allowed our US ambassador and 3 other people die in Libya!!! He needs to be impeached and we gave him 4 more years!! Insanity!

Disgusting...

After last night's election I am totally in awe of the ignorance in America. I wasn't hopeful that Romney would win until after the Libya fiasco. Then the debates went his way and I was cautiously optimistic. Another glimmer of hope was the fact that you could go down the list and check off the things Obama has failed at. Unemployment is up...regardless of how the media is spinning it. Gas prices are through the roof. More people are on food stamps and welfare than ever before. The deficit is up, not down Mr. President. Our allies are ignored and our enemies are being given weapons. I thought people would be tired of limping along. But, as we have seen people want to be taken care of cradle to grave. As Rush said, "they voted for Santa Clause and feel entitled to have a visit from him every day."

I couldn't go to sleep last night after the election was called. I was and am so anxious for what is to come. I don't want to be taken care of by the government.  I want the government out of my life. Complacency has gotten us here.

This was eleven years ago. How far we have come. I remember Jeebs saying he was a conservative liberal and I thought there was no way in HECK I could marry a liberal. Then I introduced him to Rush and he's a better man for it. You're welcome, honey. Now, I'm going to read my scriptures and pray for a miracle for our country.

Red pants

I have these red pants and they are awesome. I bought them the summer before I met Jeebs and I loved them. The next summer I was 5 months pregnant with Taylor. They have not been worn since. But I keep them as a goal. I will wear them again! I will!! I put them on a couple of days ago and while I can get them zipped and snapped...any movement...like breathing... makes them unsnap. Dang childbearing hips.

I also tried a crow pose. Yeah. I know my back is white... You can laugh at me all you want, but you know you're gonna go try it. FYI put a pillow in front of your face.

This is Halloween!

We have done nothing but go go go all. month. long. I'm sort of glad October is over, but I'm sad that now my oldest daughter is in her double digits and my Jeebs is 34! One more year and he's closer to 40. I'll get to say, "my husband is about 40." Everybody will believe it because of all his gray hair. Taylor was Velma, Cagey was a ninja, Ezra was Lightning McQueen and Mooks was a witch. Jeebs was a mad scientist again and I decided to be Mookie's black cat because every witch needs a cat. This year I had no vision for anything and I can't believe it came together how it did. I put off making costumes until 2 days ago when we  went to Target to just buy costumes. We got there and after seeing a $30 car costume decided making most of them would still be better. So we got clothes for everybody and a witch hat and broom for Mooks. Cagey lucked out and found a ninja vest to wear. But, my sweet Ezra had nothing. I was trying to get his costume made before the Trunk or Treat yesterday, but after a minor catastrophe with Mookie I just didn't make it. He had to be an angry bird again, but I promised him a Lightning McQueen costume for Halloween night. I worked most of the morning on it and I was so excited with how it turned out! I also embellished Mookie's hat and broom and made a cat ears headband and neck scarf for myself. I also managed to fit in a workout and make mummy-dogs for dinner. You can bow down to me now.

I'm as corny as Kansas in August

Mostly because Kelton kept throwing corn at me. The corn maze was not so much a maze as a path through corn. The kids enjoyed the giant slide the most. They had a petting zoo, it smelled of poo and goat's milk - I may never be able to drink capra mineral whey again. Howdy neighbor!! Happy harvest!! What movie??? Really, what movie? I can't remember the name. Judy Garland, Gene Kelly...
All of our little chitlins in front of all the pumpkins.
Those are some big gourds! They dropped them on that little RV. It. Was. Awesome. (and redneck)
Cagey holding a baby piggy!
Yeah, baaaaaaaa.
The MOoks- with the black eye.

While grandma was here

We went to boondocks with all the grandchildren and Jeebs and I had to get in in the action too. We squeezed our large rumps into one go kart and Jeebs took us for a ride. Scary. I also had to add this cute picture of my kids at Arbys before Cooper's baptisms. Mooks was asleep in the car with grandma.

This sweet little boy...

Didn't want to go to nursery today. He wanted to stay with me and since he says I'm wonderful and I'm beautiful in the sunlight I was more than happy to oblige! He was so sweet and didnt make a peep. I think that rhymes. I almost forgot he was over there sitting in my chair waiting for me to finish my sing time show.

Mad science

Page sporting his stache and helping me with goody bags.
The mad scientist and his creation, Hell-ga.
The little dumplings putting the witch teeth in the decroding acid. Not much fizz, they must have been good witches.
Shrunken apple heads floating in cider.
Dr J trying to crush a ghost in the can.
Cute little dumplings! Eva and Mooks.
Kelton with his white hair.
The mad scientist himself, Dr J.
Floating, glowing grossness.
All the freshly picked dumplings waiting to be chosen as the next Igor.
All kinds of glowing eyes.
It got a little foggy in there, but spooky and fun.
