Bonnets by Bonnie (or vogueing pioneer style)

My mom has been struggling with a pinched nerve in her neck. She pushed through the pain and made me this bonnet today for my sing-time. That is pioneer power! Pioneer children complained as they walked and walked and walked......not momma.

BWAAAAHHHH HAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAA!

Page, we all busted a gut when we read your two word comment!

I am much better today. I don't have the constant severe pain I had yesterday. It was horrible!

Let's get ready to rally, Page. The good thing about those bonnets is that they hide a lot of your face.

Spoken like true brothers. Nessa, I must have been in so much pain I couldn't understand the directions for the bonnet. The one I just finished for Taylor is perfect, with the bonnet tie-ends all tucked under the edge of the brim. No raw edges showing!!! Why couldn't I do that the other day? I couldn't even think I was in so much pain. I was sewing on the pinafore facings last night and my sewing machine started knocking and making horrible stitches. I thought, "well, it's over, no outfits for Tates or Nessa". However, I took the bobbin case out, took the plate off and cleaned about a pound of compacted dust out of it. Daddy oiled it and put it back together and it sews like a champ!!! YAY!!! I thought I was going to have to go to Sears for a new machine!!!
