Daddy ordering at Papacita's. "I need one.. two... three... 3 specials." hehehehe That doesn't mean anything to anybody except my brother Page.

Ezra thinks Cagey's funny run is hilarious! It really is. I nearly busted a gut when I saw it- I've got to get a video, if we can make him do it again.

I am sick of this town- I just saw online that the school Taylor will be attending has 70% of it's students classified as "economically disadvantaged" and the school that we actually live in the district for has 78% "economically disadvantaged". In the whole county 50% of the students are economically disadvantaged. I'm assuming that means that 50% of students in Craven County schools are registered for free lunches. How are we (the 50%) that are not classified as economically disadvantaged supposed to pay for 100% of the population? It's unsustainable. Socialism works in equalizing everybody in poverty. I for one, don't want to be destitute, do you? My name is Vanessa Nicolaysen and I really want to move.

HAHA! He would look around the table and point at us in turn as he counted. I was telling Tessa about that the other day.

I have started trying to get in line at walmart behind people who don't look like they're going to use WIC or food stamps. The problem is, YOU CAN'T TELL! We have reached the stage where perfectly able-bodied people are getting TAX-PAYER assistance! They don't do without really nice clothes, shoes, purses, CARS, cell phones, etc. They don't do without anything, or try to get along with less. It's UNBELIEVABLE. When you guys were young, there was a time when we were eligible for free school lunches, due to the number of kids we had and daddy's income at Eastman. Do you think I would sign up for free lunches? NEVER! I wouldn't humiliate myself OR my children by doing that. I made y'all's lunches cause I couldn't afford to buy them in the cafeteria. IT CAN BE DONE. So, all you people out there with your entitlement mentality driving your nice cars AND getting WIC, STOP IT! Or else write thank you notes to my children who are buying your dang groceries! Oh, it makes me SO MAD!! Margaret Thatcher said it best: "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." My gosh, people. Aren't you EMBARRASSED to take taxpayer's money without giving up your cell phones, your second car, your THIRD television, your computer, etc.? If you're not, you weren't raised well.
